The Space in the bed/occupied again

SATURDAY Day 43

My empty bed says a lot. Colin far away and it is so cold in the bed alone.  Is he okay? 

Yes he is much better,  a small set back and we have put the " train back on the tracks"
I braved the blustery weather to drive at 60kmphour on the motorway to pick Colin up to come HOME.
There is a huge smile wider than I have ever seen on his face,  as he comes downstairs after his pm sleep. He is SO SO happy to be home
And I am SO happy to have him.

It has taken me all afternoon to unpack,  wash the hospital dishes I take,  clean out the food,  fridge etc. Catch up on jobs and start dinner.

SUNDAY

We LOVE it at home.  W can relax in our own environment and appreciate the things we took for granted.  Like:

-soaking in the sunlight streaming through the windows

-sleeping in our big bed and snuggling up

-getting up in the Morning when we want to 

-enjoying our big space with family
-eating fish and chips (sshh don't tell any one) 

-cooking in my own kitchen

MONDAY DAY 45

We are back to day stay which is like our little community.  There is a wonderful support group who are all concerned about Colin and his absence last week due to his admit to the ward.  We hear that  Andy is going to transplant this week.  Good luck and we wish you a smooth ride.  Have heard lots of new about other fellow patients.  Some good and some not so good.  

Colin is well and now having magnesium via  IV.  Blood glucose still high so we  are watching the food and trying to find solutions 

Sandra D,  myself and Christine have escaped to Yum Char for lunch.  A little time out where  we enjoyed talking. Don't worry it was  an A grade restaurant.  Just wish the patients could have joined us.  

A simple Meal of chicken,  egg and broccoli. 

Lucy is crazy ecstatic that we are home too

Mrs supercook Sandra and taxi driver Kevin have brought round dinner to share and spend time with Viv and Steve
